I am so glad Christmas is done for the year. Thanks to the snow, I had little Christmas Cheer. It took all my will-power not to knock out all the clerks when they said "Merry Christmas!" I wanted to say "Merry Christmas this, whore!" but I thought better of it and just glared at them instead.
My kids, however, are in hog heaven. All Evan wanted was a Nintendo DS, and guess what, he got one. All Kenzie wanted was a Girl Crush Hair Salon, and well, she got that. Mason wanted wrestling figures and a wrestling ring, and he doesn't know it yet, but he got it. And the video games and movies he wanted. Basically, the kids got it all for Christmas.
Jay and I are waiting until February to get an X-Box 360 as our gifts to each other. He also gave me $100 gc for Nordstroms, and he is going to pick out his web-cam (I was not trusted to pick it out myself). I also got what I wanted most, which was THE GRIDDLER by Cuisinart! My mommy bought it for me, which is good, because I was picturing ways to burn down something if I didn't get it. I also asked for books, which I didn't get. But I went online and ordered them through Amazon (they have great deals on books, and even though I much prefer a bookstore with all it's pretty books lined up so nicely, when you are stuck at home because Mother Nature is having a hissy fit and dumping tons of snow on you, you do the next best thing and order online).
My husband decided to stay home yesterday. Yeah for him, boo for me. I am in a serious depression from this snow, I swear. And I am sick to death of my house, husband, and children. Being cooped up this long is doing nothing for my mental health. When Jay so kindly said that he was going to work from home as we were laying in bed, I not so kindly took to kicking him to try and get him out of bed. When that didn't work, I started whining at him, hoping he would get fed up and head into work. That didn't work. I threatened divorce and all he did was promise to not bother me as much today. All I could see what 5 days with him. F.I.V.E. long. days. I love you, but seriously, I hate everybody after being stuck inside for 5 days with them.
So I thought it would be wiser to get into my 4x4 and head to Nordstroms. Unfortunately, there were a ton of people I don't know there, too. But I hurried to the shoe section and found a very cute pair of black boots to buy, and also a new pair of black low Converse. I adore my Converse, they go with everything (OK, so I wear them with everything. Comfort means more to me now that fashion sense.) I checked out the other 2 levels, but left quickly after that. Then I headed to Bath and Body works to buy new bath bubbles, Warm Vanilla Sugar air fresheners, and a super awesome cashmere robe. Oh, I love that thing! So soft, so pretty. From there, I headed to the library to return books, the pet food store to buy Charlie's special food, and then Albertson's. I had to buy some stuff to make paninis with so I could use my new GRIDDLER!
Today, I think the kids and I are going over to my friend, Natasa's. The kids can play with her kids, and I can sit and drink strong coffee with her, while we chat about how annoying men are.
