Weekend recap, a few days late

So, in my eagerness of sharing my Matt Damon videos, I didn't tell you about my weekend away with the hubs.

We left around 7:30 on Saturday for the Oregon coast, a mere 4 hours away. We first encountered snow around Longview, which is 3/4 of the way to Portland. We dropped Charlie off at our old neighbors and Charlie's old owners. We then proceeded to head to the coast via Hwy. 30 because there were threats of shutting down Hwy. 26, which was the most direct route from Portland. We still encountered snow. Luckily, the roads were fine, just a pile up of slush on the sides and down the center. We finally arrived and we got our first glance at Baby Ava. I immediately took her from Jason and even changed a gross diaper. And I pretty much held her for a long long time. Even Jay wanted to hold her. She is so tiny and so very precious.

That night, we went and watched Jason perform at the Hotel Elliott and had dinner at Kerri's restaurant, Norma's. We went to a few different bars with Paul, another long time friend. And went back to Jason and Kerri's around 11:00. Yeah for us, Ava was still up so I held her some more.

Sunday, I woke up early and went for a walk. The sea lions were out and barking so I checked them out. What a bunch of lazy fatasses. But they are cute in an ugly kind of way. Then I headed back to the house.

Their house has a great view of the water AND even better, a great view of the Goonie House. Fuck to the yeah. You can also see Data's house. I've included a picture for your viewing pleasure. For all you morons who don't know which house is which, the white one is where Mikey lived, and the blue one is where Data lived. I wanted to get a picture on the stump where Chunk did the truffle shuffle but it was a private drive so no other cars where allowed up there and Jay wouldn't get out to walk up with me. And since I couldn't take a picture of myself doing the truffle shuffle, I passed.

We then took Kerri and baby Ava to breakfast and then went back to pack up and get ready to leave. I finally agreed to not kidnap the baby and handed her back. I begged for another kid a lot on the way home. So far, Jay is sticking with the "you have no ovary and your tubes are tied" thing, which for him is a good enough reason not to have another baby.

He so doesn't love me.

For future reference, I would pay good money for pictures of you doing the "truffle shuffle" if that sways any future decision making =)

Incidentally, did you know that Chunk is now VERY thin and a successful entertainment lawyer?!? its crazy!

Get a sealion instead of another baby. It wont need a bedroom, just a bathtub. They are fuzzy, adorable and have cute whiskers. Plus, it will applaud everything you do. What more can you ask for?
