On Thursday, Jay and I went to Bennihanna's for dinner. We got a bunch of sushi, fried rice and yakisoba to share. Yummy. Then we walked around Pacific Place and just enjoyed being together. I had a good time except for the shoes that must have come straight from hell. We only parked a block and a half from the restaurant and then it was another 3 blocks to Pacific Place. By the time we left dinner and got a block away, I wanted to dump my shoes on the side of the road and go barefoot. Except it was too damn cold to walk around in thin socks, and I'm not Unfitney Spears so I don't like going barefoot on public streets. By the time we were done walking around and made it back to the car, I was close to tears and vowed to toss those damn shoes in the closest lake the minute I could. I checked that night and had 3 water blisters from those devil shoes. BUT I really enjoyed my time alone with my very loving, handsome husband.
The next morning, my step-dad stayed home so that we could get our tree. We took the kids to pick it out and then went to lunch. The kids loved having their Poppa home with them. He is hilarious and can always bring a smile to my face no matter what mood I'm in. We finally set up the tree and decorated and then Jay and I took off again to spend more time alone after the kids went to bed.
Today, I went with Amy and her daughter, Kendall, to find some ingredients to make homemade soap for Christmas presents. We headed down to Pike's Place market where I enjoyed the most nummy sandwich from a deli. It was made with fresh foccacia and mozzerella cheese, Roma tomatoes, and basil. Oh man, I didn't want to share, but I did, cause I'm nice like that, and Santa is watching. Then I came home to help decorate a Gingerbread house with the kids. Jay liked the icing. A Lot. And then tried to rub it all over me and the kids. I was too busy taking pictures to dodge his hand. I swear, that is frosting on my lips.

You guys are too cute...
So, your cute husband is alive and attacking people with frosting, but is he ever going to blog again?
it sounds like you are busy and have been having lots of fun.
Sorry about the shoes though, I've been in a situation like that, when I was waitering. I wore a pair of shoes out to the point where I could no longer work my shift. I showed up to work not thinking much of it, and by the end of the shift they were like individual little bear traps on each foot.
